Like, obviously you start with lessons, then play minor tournaments, etc. Then what?What are the steps from Beginner to Grand Slam Winner?
Well, if you live in the US, you can join the USTA, and climb in rankings. What happens is once you get into the higher rankings [in the range of 50 and above] you will play more competitive tournaments. When you get a high enough ranking (if I'm not mistaken, the top 5) you will get a chance to play in international tournaments. Someone may notice you, become your sponsor, and you will climb through the world rankings. Then, you can enter different slams, major, minor tournaments around the world, or choose to train or whatever. To make it to a Slam, you need quite a high ATP ranking.
