It uses a common SD memory card that can be purchased an any department store. You will want a couple of extra memory cards for your vacation. I suggest at least 1 GB cards.
The Kodak Easy Share uses common AA batteries. These can be purchased nearly anyplace. Stay away from models with rechargeable batteries that can die right when you need them. Also stay away from cameras use special batteries that may be hard to locate while on vacation.
The new Kodaks have decent features and take good pictures.
